As the Service Center Print Operator, you'll operate and maintain UV flatbed object printers, laser engravers and cutters. In this role, you'll use your strong understanding digital printing and laser engraving technologies to handle multiple machines efficiently. You'll be responsible for ensuring high-quality output, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting and optimizing production processes. You'll work closely with the production team, designers and project managers to meet client requirements and deadlines
This role takes place at Geek Squad city, our 240,000-square-foot repair center in Brooks, Kentucky.
What you'll doSet up, operate and maintain UV flatbed printers to produce high-quality prints on various substrates, including wood, metal, plastic, glass and morePrepare digital files for printing and engraving, adjust settings for optimal print quality, and ensure proper alignment and material placementInspect printed and engraved materials for accuracy, color consistency and overall quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure outputs meet company standardsPerform routine maintenance, cleaning and calibration of equipment to ensure smooth operation and prevent downtimeLoad and unload materials, manage inventory of substrates and supplies and ensure the proper handling of materials before, during and after production.Keep accurate records of production runs, maintenance schedules and machine performanceBasic qualifications2 years of experience operating UV flatbed printers, laser engravers or laser cutters6 months of experience troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues with print and laser equipmentProficiency in working with design software (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, CAD) to prepare files for printing and engravingStrong understanding of digital printing and laser cutting technologiesAble to lift and maneuver weight up to 25 pounds with or without accommodationAble to stand and sit for long periods of timeAble to multitask and demonstrate strong attention to detailPreferred qualificationsPrior experience with UV curing technologiesKnowledge of engraving and cutting techniques for diverse materials such as wood, acrylic, metal and fabricKnowledge of color management, print resolution and substrate compatibilityExperience with maintenance and repair of printing and laser equipmentWhat's in it for you
