Assemblers aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements. Assemblers perform simple and routine repetitive manual operations such as matching, assembling, cleaning, lubricating, marking and packaging a variety of bearings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Prepare and installs various self-lubricating liner systems in bearings
Utilizes high temperature ovens and/or autolaves to achieve permanent adhesion and curing of liner systems
Fit liner to various types of bearings or bearing component. This requires cutting and molding liber to different shapes and sizes
Utilize manual or hydraulic presses to insert different types of tooling required for boding and processes
Prepare bags for liner systems bonded in an autoclave
Interpret drawings and follow detailed work instructions to process parts and archive conforming results
Communicate any discrepancies on the process or any possible improvements on efficiency or quality to management
Utilize precision inspection instruments such as, micrometer, calipers, or comparators to evaluate parts and tooling dimension

EDUCATION:
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
0-1 years related experience (e.g. perform simple and routine assemblies and/or marking & packaging of product)
Experience with composites or autoclave relates process is a plus
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Competence to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to present information effectively one-on-one.
Good computer, math and reading skills needed.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
