The Manager/Team Lead of Biological Materials Management position ensures a high-level performance at the Charles City Site in supply of biological vaccines. This position is responsible for communication with our customers and the Supply Chain Network. Provides direction on the planning and scheduling process to the finished goods and manufacturing planners and buyers in order to oversee and ensure customer satisfaction, production efficiency, and inventory control. Conducts all activities and makes decisions that are in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, Zoetis Core Beliefs, global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP), and environmental guidelines, as appropriate, etc.
Position Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries, coordinating with the Planning/Scheduling/Customer Interface manager (e.g., emails inquiring when orders will ship, adjusting existing orders, checking on when certain products will be available, loads, on hand, item # change).
Execute S&OP, coordinating with the Planning/Scheduling/Customer Interface manager (including but not limited to new product introductions, long term capacity planning, inventory analysis and set target strategy, budget planning).
Review inventory alerts/exceptions in the market (e.g., low & high stock report) through S&OE
Lead the process order cycle for planning with the planning team and manufacturing. Determine changes to process specific planning parameter values, running and analyzing scenarios as needed, and monitoring and managing resource utilization.
Lead the ordering process for all direct materials and intercompany needs, working with the team and manufacturing to ensure timely receipt and release of materials for use.
Promote culture of continuous improvement utilizing new systems, process flow enhancements, and leading KPI measures.
Aid in ensuring the timely release of production lots, through coordination with Quality, Operations, and other Process Teams (e.g., the closure of change controls and investigations in a timely manner).

Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Engineering, Management Information Science, Business or related business/technical field with minimum of 5 years business experience in materials planning and/or production scheduling
OR MBS/MS with 0-2 years of experience
OR minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
Physical Requirements
This position requires sitting and working on a computer for long periods of time.
