Previous experience and knowledge of large ag equipment or commercial/turf equipment is welcomed but not required. Essential Functions:

  • Grow customer share of wallet through strong customer connections to achieve sales & profit expectations to support long-term growth & shared success.

  • Develop and implement plans to dominate the whole goods and aftermarket business through new and existing customers.

  • Develop & enhance strong customer connections with current & prospective key customers.

  • Actively embrace & promote Precision Ag solutions to challenge customers and lead employee utilization to create a customer advantage.

  • Create a positive culture, aligning with our DNA, to develop a high performing team.

  • Coach, manage, and develop the location leadership & sales team through timely feedback, monthly reviews, and career development initiatives, including rewards & recognition.

  • Provide consistent and effective store-wide communication on company DNA, goals and initiatives, pulse survey results and action plans.

  • Lead recruiting efforts to attract talent to ensure pipeline of technicians and candidate pool for succession efforts.

  • Lead & motivate teams to implement and execute defined AVE-PLP processes & policies, to minimize risk & create opportunity.

  • Ensures company location standards including visual appeal, security, cleanliness, organization, and employee professionalism are understood and achieved.

Supervisory Duties:



  • Directly manages the Sales team, Service Manager, Parts Manager, and Administrative Assistant staff.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Familiarity and experience with John Deere and competitive products preferred but not required.

  • Experience dealing with elevated customer issues

  • Proven managerial ability including leading, coaching, and developing others

  • Knowledge of financial metrics and retail marketing; a solid understanding of sales, parts and service

  • Solid analytical, business planning, problem solving, and communication skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales focused environment

Education:



  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent is required.

  • Bachelors degree in Agriculture or Business is preferred.

Experience:



  • 5+ years of experience performing service repairs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:



  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.

  • Travel to customer locations, meetings, and other store locations on a regular basis is necessary.

  • Occasional outdoor work in extreme weather conditions (hot/cold); walking on uneven terrain; occasional exposure to insects.

  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration.

  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required including cold weather gear, eye protection, gloves, and provided uniform.

  • A clean and safety-conscientious work environment is required.

  • Work may involve long hours and overtime during holidays, weekends, and evenings.

  • May be required to rotate on-call responsibilities.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • Moderate physical activity required by moving and positioning objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
