The Sr. Project Manager/Master Scheduler will support the Senior Program Manager and Government by Managing and leading projects, creating, updating and tracking IT project schedules for multiple programs in support for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), located at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for serving as Sr. Project Manager and Master Scheduler in managing projects developing plans, schedules and tracking cost/budgets to meet requirements. Finally, providing mentorship and guidance to mid-level project managers
Provides IT project management support to Headquarters INSCOM G6, by providing a full range of IT project management that is inclusive of executing critical standards of Program Management Institute (PMI) key metric categories and concepts implement directed strategies.
Manage complex program plans and schedule, provide technical advice on critical paths and establish milestone development.
Coordinate with Project Management Branch on schedule modifications and coordinate work efforts across multiple units and make recommendation to life cycle management processes.
Manages IT projects. Projects will vary and include large- and small-scale Military Construction (MILCON) projects IT enterprise services projects, IT communications/networking projects, software and hardware upgrade projects, military compound IT master planning projects, IT support projects for direct military operations and IT services/networking contingency planning projects.
Prepares documentation, presentations for briefings, statements, spreadsheets, reports, and conducts analysis, as requested.
CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Six years of IT project management experience with master’s degree or eight years of IT project management experience with bachelor’s degree.
Experience with MS Projects and Schedule development.
Army experience preferred but not required.
Requires Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
Additional ITIL, ITSM, Agile, SCRUM, Structured Cabling, Network, or Systems Certifications (RCDD).
Required Security Clearance TS/SCI

Knowledge of business and project planning including goal setting, milestones, and project tracking.
Able to prioritize and manage multiple project deadlines effectively.
Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
Ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis and experience.
