This position supports our medical professional liability line of business and reports to the office 2 days per week after training is completed. Locations include Birmingham AL, Greenwood IN, Mechanicsburg PA, and Okemos MI.


For full consideration candidates should have administrative work experience. Depending upon candidate qualifications, we may fill the position at a higher level.



Job Summary:



The primary responsibility of the Administrative Assistant I position is to provide a wide range of administrative support for the department to ensure efficient operations.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • 30% - Composes and prepares confidential correspondence, presentations, reports, and other complex documents. Copies, scans, research, and prepares documents. Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, may include email and faxes.

  • 20% - Process invoices and expense reports for department.

  • 20% - Organizes and maintains detailed files, correspondence, and other records.

  • 10% - Coordinates and arranges meetings including ordering lunch, prepares agendas, reserves, and prepares facilities.

  • 10% - Coordinates management teams' schedule and manages appointments. Arranges and coordinates business travel as needed. Greets scheduled visitors and directs to appropriate area or person.




Secondary Responsibilities:



  • 10% - Assist with special projects and other duties and responsibilities as directed by management.




Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma required. Some college coursework or additional certification preferred.

  • Previous customer service and administrative experience preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

  • Dependable and detail oriented.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel

  • Extensive software skills required as well as Internet research abilities.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Must be able to lift 30lbs.

Position Salary Range$16.17 - $26.69The salary range displayed represents the entirety of the pay grade for this position. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, your location and comparison to other team members already in this role.
