Automation Engineer Position Overview The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems to improve manufacturing processes. This role focuses on enhancing production efficiency and ensuring system reliability in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement automation systems using PLC and HMI technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated systems in a timely manner.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand requirements and optimize processes.
Create and maintain documentation including blueprints and schematics for automated systems.
Conduct testing and validation of automation solutions to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Support the maintenance team by providing expertise in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting.
Experience with VFD, mechanical systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic controls is a plus.
Familiarity with food and chemical manufacturing processes is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
