Overview



As we prepare to reimagine Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort as The Sunny, we are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Overnight Security Officer. This role is essential in ensuring the safety of our guests, staff, and property during overnight hours. Prior hotel experience is preferred to help uphold our commitment to a secure and welcoming environment that enhances the guest experience.



Responsibilities




What you will be doing:

• 
  Patrol and Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols throughout the hotel, covering guest areas, staff-only zones, and external grounds to detect and address security, safety, and maintenance concerns.


• 
  Guest Assistance: Respond promptly to guest inquiries and provide a calm, professional presence during any potential emergencies.


• 
  Incident Reporting: Document all security-related incidents in a detailed manner and communicate effectively with the management team.


• 
  Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintain updated knowledge of all emergency protocols.


• 
  Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Front Desk and other hotel departments to monitor entry points, support nighttime operations, and report unusual activities.

Qualifications




What we are looking for:

• 
  Experience: Previous experience in hotel security or a similar environment is preferred.


• 
  Skills: Strong observational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage emergency situations.


• 
  Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and lift light objects as needed.
