Job Description:

Continuous Improvement Tech - 1st Shift

Location: Ephrata, PA

How You Will Make an Impact:

Lead & support initiatives and projects related to standardization, waste reduction, 5S, SQDCIT, Value Stream mapping, cost savings, flow, and process improvement. Utilize cross-functional teams to improve the business.

The Nuts and Bolts:

1. Support the CI Engineer in initiatives and projects. Support Safety as top priority.

2. Lead meetings as needed. Coach/mentor as needed. Be an advocate for Lean.

3. Maintain documentation for current status of implementation

4. Be able to conduct 5S training, lead implementation, and sustainment.

5. Be able to coach/mentor and advise SQDCIT meetings and aid in actions needed for improvement.

6. Aid in analyzing data for financial impact

7. Provide updates to overall project status

8. Lead efforts for other waste reduction or process improvement projects or as part of a team

9. Be hands on. Be able to help weld, construct, etc fixtures, tools, tables, etc.

10. Be able to order material as needed for projects, initiatives and/or events.

11. Be able to help coordinate meetings, events, people, etc.

12. Support and/or lead in collection of data and reporting out on metrics.

13. Work collaboratively with the production leadership

14. Create an environment that encourages and rewards teamwork and collaboration, both internally and externally.
15. Other duties as assigned.

Required Credentials:

•Good interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze basic data. Working knowledge of Lean

•MS Office basics for Excel, Word, PowerPoint

•Ability to execute tasks independently - Ability to construct, weld, fabricate, preferred - Hands-on

•Minimum 1 year in a Mfg. environment

•Problem solver, implementing solutions to solve root cause problems.

•Able to handle multiple, complex priorities and balance the needs of each according to business impact.

•Coaching, Motivating, and Mentoring. Good listener, compassionate to individual concerns.

•Is confident to give team members space to learn and make mistakes.

•Good written and oral communication, accompanied by facilitation skill
