Job Description:

What will you do?

This position is responsible for providing high quality engineering designs per specifications, standards, budgets, and schedules, as well as participating on a team to design, install and service building automation control and security management systems. This employee typically works under daily supervision of a Project Manager and reports into an Engineering Manager

Responsibilities Include


  • Understand how to read specifications, drawings, and internal cost estimates

  • Be able to design hardware submittals, read and write simple programming, and assist others in startup of control's equipment.

  • Maintain and adhere to standards for engineering and basic sequences of operations

  • Assist the PM in reviewing contract documentation, coordination drawings, material procurement activity and other documents throughout the project life cycle

  • Lead resolution of project issues through RFI's, field surveys, and customer communications

  • Manage incoming communications from customer, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers efficiently so that inquiries are addressed in a timely manner while balancing work assignments.


What qualifications will make you successful?


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering field

  • 2+ years of experience in the BAS industry

  • Intermediate knowledge of HVAC, security, or other building or electronic control systems or Schneider Electric's software applications
