Ardurra is seeking a Survey CAD Technician with 4 or more years of survey experience to join our Coeur d’Alene, ID team.


*ORD (Open Roads Design) experience highly preferred*


The ideal candidate will have drafting experience with a working knowledge in survey as well!


Position Summary


Ardurra is seeking a motivated and talented Drafter to help on Survey projects including Land Development, Municipal, Transportation and Aviation. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of solid experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and or Microstation /Openroads Designer.  This person will be given the opportunity to produce existing features and topographic base mapping, records of survey, subdivision plats, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey documents as well as processing survey data, UAV data, performing calculations, preparing land descriptions, sketches and other engineering and survey documents.


Preferred Qualifications 



  • 4+ years’ experience with drafting records of survey, corner records, subdivision plats and exhibits

  • Experience with Civil 3D and or Microstation/Open Roads

  • ORD (Open Roads Design) highly preferred

  • Knowledge of boundary, construction, and topographic surveying

  • Have a good understanding of, records of survey, corner records, subdivision plats and construction drawings

  • Have good communication skills and be a team player

  • Demonstrate the willingness, enthusiasm, and positive attitude to show up on time

  • Personal appearance must be clean and professional

  • Ability to process and reduce point cloud data is a plus

  • A working knowledge of ArcMap

  • WORD and Excel skills also a plus but not mandatory

  • A willing and positive attitude to listen and learn


Key Responsibilities



  • Work in the office completing survey related drawings

  • Read and understand field notes and sketches completed by survey crews

  • Perform office calculations for surveys and construction staking

  • The ability to read, understand and use prior survey maps and information

  • Perform basic office duties, including downloading, data import and reduction, field note scanning and filing, calculations, data checks

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Physical Requirements



  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Ability to navigate various locations and settings of the company
