Job Description

Business Operational Excellence Lead works on behalf of Elbit Systems of America Operations (KMC) to provide tactical implementation towards business system improvements. Work in a team environment with all functions to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements. Collect root cause analysis and provide corrective feedback to prevent line stops due to supply issues. Manage the customer-specific requirements and offer technical support to suppliers. Work on multiple phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of high complexity, with results impacting on project completion. He/she must demonstrate attention to detail, strong Lean Principles, analytical skills, documentation, processes, and excellent verbal / written communication.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Identify gaps and areas for optimization - Support the execution of Business Systems Improvement activities, from evaluation/classification to implementation, inclusive of leading all the data capture, analysis & project selection
    1. Specifically this will be focused on our MES & ERP business systems, and so experience with either Factory Logix and/or Oracle would be very beneficial
  2. Drive lean six-sigma philosophies into all current & future program(s), including lean knowledge growth of existing KMC employees
  3. Support internal Capital Expenditure funding requests including justification preparation & communicating to senior management through defined ROI approaches
  4. Design and develop enhancements to support business process changes and improvement - Support the implementation and upgrade of current & future business applications such as MES & ERP.
  5. Customer Satisfaction: Evaluate existing data, generate analysis and provide and implement improvement plans to improve customer satisfaction.
  6. Align internal metrics with ESA corporate KPIs as needed to prepare presentations which reflects the overall program performance.
  7. Partner with users in defining and developing requirements documents for both enhancement requests and new projects.
  8. Lead, consult, investigate and provide alternative solutions to business problems.
  9. Provide end user support and training for implemented strategies. Ensure prompt resolution, documentation, coordination and communication for issues throughout all affected functions.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical discipline with 8+ years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education/experience. 
  • Innovative & Creative
  • Medical Device Industry experience
  • Proficient in the above competencies and or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • History of progressive responsibility a plus
  • Experience with MES application plus
  • Lead Auditor Certification ISO 9001 and 13485
  • Lean Black belt
