Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Product Owner to drive the priorities and adoption of intelligent robotic process automation (RPA) solutions, positioning and leveraging cutting edge technologies within the UiPath platform such as; Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and new Generative and Agentic capabilities.

IPA/RPA Technical Product Owner will join the Intelligent Automation CoE within the IT division at The Standard. As the Product Owner in our area, you will work closely with business stakeholders and leaders across the organization to develop robust business cases and perform cost-benefit analyses, ensuring automation opportunities not only align with current business objectives but also deliver measurable business value and drive future efficiency and innovation.

Over time you will gain an understanding of the business and technology landscapes and apply that understanding to help develop future state capabilities. This role finds opportunities to support strategic goals, drive business growth, and enhance profit margins.

Your key priorities are:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and prioritize high-impact automation candidates. Foster partnerships with stakeholders (internal, Shared Services, or 3rd parties) to ensure their needs are represented.
  • Ensure viability of projects by using market research, business and technology landscapes and collaborate with platform architects to confirm implementation feasibility of technical solutions and future roadmap capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain a value-driven roadmap aligned with business goals. Educate the tech team on business processes to ensure fit-for-purpose automation solutions. Establish cadence to revisit automations for improvements and optimization. Clearly communicate roadmap progress and insights to stakeholders and teams.
  • Assist portfolio automation lead with delivery planning by prioritizing automations, assessing risks, and managing dependencies. Oversee the health and readiness of the automation pipeline, including backlog, candidate assessments, and delivery schedule.
  • Facilitate networking with business owners on automation solutions, priorities, and emerging capabilities

This position partners with Business Impact Managers, Communication Leads and the Change Management Organization to:

  • Collaborate with Impact Managers and Business leadership to ensure training and support is provided to business users to ensure successful adoption of IPA/RPA solutions, promoting operational continuity and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensures impacts to people, process and technology are known and there is an organizational change plan to address.
  • Establish feedback loops, integrates industry research and trends and incorporates other data to enhance business value and adoption.
  • Works with change and communications representatives to provide ongoing updates/transparency to the work, successes, and challenges.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 5 years of experience in same or similar role.
  • Experience in RPA or Intelligent Automation is required. Experience with adoption and implementation of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and new Generative capabilities in automation projects would be a differentiator.
  • Experience with the following tools is required: UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism. Discovery tools such as Process and Task Mining. Intake tools like UiPath Automation Hub or similar, ROI presentation through analytics. Microsoft Visio for process diagraming (other process diagraming software is acceptable.)
  • Business Process Analysis acumen. Strong analytical skills to map current processes, identify areas of improvement, and elicit automation solutions that drive efficiency. Includes the ability to interpret complex business needs into technical requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management. Ability to communicate product plans and progress to stakeholders, including IT leaders, customers, and internal teams. The ability to explain technical topics to varying audiences is a requirement of the role.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$104,750.00 - $153,500.00
