The Project Success Program is dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive tutoring environment for children ages 5-14. We believe in fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning. We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Child Care Assistant to join our team/family.
Job Overview: The Child Care Assistant will support the daily activities and well-being of children, helping to create a safe, engaging, and fun environment. This role involves assisting with educational activities, supervising playtime, and providing emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily routines, including transportation and supervisions of students in group activities on site and at home.
Help with homework and educational projects, fostering a love for learning.
Provide emotional support and encouragement, ensuring children feel valued and understood.
Ensure a safe and clean environment by following health and safety guidelines.
Assist in managing behavior and promoting positive interactions among children.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Possession of credentials required by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for employment as a Child Care Assistant
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: - Interest and ability to relate to elementary age children - Be able to relate to adults and other personnel in a team-oriented environment - Must be able to follow instructions and work without strict supervision as the job demands - Prior work experience with young, disadvantaged youth is preferred.
