Job Summary:
Develop and implement a long-term vision for medical review operations aligned with organizational goals.
Conduct market analysis and competitor assessments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the medical review team.
Optimize operational efficiency and productivity through process improvement initiatives.
Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track performance.
Oversee budget development and management for the medical review department.
Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Conduct regular quality audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with clinical experts to develop and maintain evidence-based clinical policies and procedures.
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the medical review team.
Provide mentorship and coaching to medical directors and staff.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
Understand client needs and develop customized solutions to meet their expectations.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on medical review matters.
Minimum Qualifications:
MD or DO degree with board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Current and unrestricted medical license as required for clinical practice in a state of the United States.
Seven or more years of leadership experience in a medical review or utilization management role.
Minimum of five years of clinical practice experience.
Proven track record in driving operational efficiency and improving quality.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
