The strength and conditioning intern is responsible for assisting full-time strength and conditioning staff in enhancing the physical and mental development of student-athletes through established training programs that intensify the physical strength and cardiovascular conditioning of the student-athlete.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists strength and conditioning coach in the implementation of their program for designated varsity athletes.
Assists strength and conditioning coach with educating activities as determined.
Assists strength and conditioning coach with rehabilitative programs.
Assists with the maintenance of all equipment and the enforcement of all rules and regulations.
Assists in the testing and evaluation of all student-athletes and maintains appropriate records.
Maintains a continuing and thorough knowledge of all applicable University, Departmental, and NCAA rules and regulations and complies with those rules and regulations.
Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and certain holidays depending on schedule.
Performs special duties as requested by the strength and conditioning coach.
Responsible for maintaining compliance and appropriate certification with NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference, Institutional, and Departmental policies, and procedures.

Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
