Postdoctoral Associate Position - Youth Mental Health Treatment at the University of Miami

We are actively seeking a postdoctoral associate to meaningfully contribute to the provision of evidence-based services for youth with anxiety and depression during a two-year fellowship to begin between August to October 2025 (depending on preference of selected candidate). The postdoctoral associate will primarily be working on foundation and locally funded service grants regarding training in and provision of the Unified Protocols for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents (UP-C and UP-A) at the Child and Adolescent Mood and Anxiety Treatment (CAMAT) Program in the Department of Psychology at the University of Miami. These service grants allow the UP-C and UP-A to be provided at no-cost to children and adolescents in Miami-Dade County and the surrounding community.

Funded by these sources, the postdoctoral associate will primarily provide clinical treatment and co-supervision using the UP-C and UP-A, as well as providing clinical training and consultation using this approach. This individual will also conduct evidence-based assessment of youth and families experiencing anxiety, depression, and related symptoms and assist faculty in providing clinical and research supervision to doctoral, undergraduate and postbaccalaureate students. Very strong clinical, interpersonal, and organizational skills, good abilities to work well and pleasantly with peers and supervisees, and experience in evidence-based practices for youth are highly valued attributes. It will be expected that this postdoctoral associate participates in on-going clinical outreach efforts at events and activities in South Florida and are willing to travel to community sites for this purpose. Given the nature of the population in Miami, Spanish language skills (sufficient for diagnostic interviewing and/or therapy) are appreciated, but not required. As postdoctoral associate, opportunities exist for publications and overall experience with the conduct of clinical trials, as desired. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to accrue hours toward licensure. Competitive salary consistent and benefits consistent with current NIH funding levels will be provided.

Candidates for this postdoctoral fellowship must have a completed Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or provide documentation that they are on track to complete all doctoral requirements for the Ph.D./Psy.D. prior to the position start date.

The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental benefits, tuition remission, vacation, paid holidays and much more. The University of Miami is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
