Basic Job Functions:
This position includes but is not limited to;
The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of electrical principles and practical experience as it relates to the electrical maintenance function.
The technician will provide electrical support to the production crews, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and automation systems.
The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, vacation coverage, and holidays
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two-year degree, successful completion of electrical trade school, or a minimum of three years industrial electrical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of automation and networking equipment and processes such as PID/closed loop control systems, networking tools and standards, Variable Frequency Drive experience (ABB, AB), and HMI programming and troubleshooting
Overhead crane knowledge and repair experience
Basic pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge
