Position: Senior Data Scientist - Search
Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030
Duties: Build large scale, distributed, and highly available system and machine learning pipelines for production systems. Conduct advanced statistical analysis to determine trends and significant data relationships. Select the modeling techniques most suitable for the structured, complex data. Build learning systems to analyze and filter continuous data flows and offline data analysis. Validate models and algorithmic techniques. Scale new algorithms to large data sets and provide appropriate results to business customers. Utilize system tools and write code to develop the required solution and application features by using recommended programming languages and tools such as Python, SQL, Python, scikit-learn, Pytorch, and XGBoost. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Research new trends in the industry, utilize up-to-date technology (e.g., deep learning, gradient boosting, causal inference, and large language models) and utilize analytical skills to support assigned projects. Conduct online statistical tests, such as interleaving tests and AB tests, and root cause analysis to inspect the effectiveness and impact of new features and new models.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years of experience in an analytics related field.
Skills required: Experience coding in object-oriented programming language Python. Experience implementing scalable machine learning algorithms using machine learning libraries Sklearn, Numpy, XGBoost, and Pytorch. Experience building large, complex data sets in structured query language. Experience conducting data analysis to validate models, identify trends, and determine data relationships. Experience coding in Python, SQL, and TensorFlow to develop business solutions. Experience supporting business stakeholders by implementing and modifying solutions based on business needs. Experience researching and implementing up-to-date machine learning algorithms. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
