Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030
Duties: Design and build SQL Queries in Presto to fetch data for analysis. Develop visualization dashboards in Tableau and Tableau Prep Builder. Code in Python to automate data pipelines and develop algorithms to better predict Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Test and identify data gaps flowing in from multiple management systems into Presto and GCP. Use Microsoft Excel to analyze data and present insights to stakeholders. Develop datasets in GCP to manage large datasets and build scalable analytical solutions. Responsible for project management. Work in Supply Chain and implement strategies to improve business metrics, including improving in-stock percentages, reducing IB and OB volumes, optimizing inventory allocation, improving SKU level forecasts, reducing Air ship percentages, and increasing On Time Delivery. Analyze data, interpret results, and identify trends and insights. Optimize inventory health, including increasing in-stock percentage and reducing excess inventory. Drive seller and inventory allocation across the fulfillment center network and consolidation centers. Develop and drive the strategy of network design on how to allocate inventory throughout the network to reduce cost to serve and improve the seller and customer experience. Guide a segment of the WFS Fulfillment Center forecast process, including inbound, outbound, cube capacity, returns, and building forecasting models that are required to operate the WFS business. Responsible for communication to supply chain teams and partnering with operations on new site launch and exit strategy and execution. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills required: Experience writing complex SQL queries and managing data tables in Presto, Hadoop, Teradata, GCP, and Snowflake to develop scalable solutions and automate jobs. Experience building business intelligence dashboards and reporting critical KPI's using Tableau and Power BI. Experience with statistical analysis and modeling using Python and MS Excel. Experience with MS Excel Ad Hoc analysis for reporting. Experience developing machine learning forecasting models for inventory management to improve instock rate, minimize stock outs, and avoid excess inventory. Experience developing data science models for air and ground transportation and performing statistical analysis for Less Than Truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload (FTL) and Intermodal first mile, middle mile, and final mile optimization. Experience with project management supply chain network design models using AIMMS, Llamasoft, and Coupa for optimal location of warehouses and better capacity and transportation planning to minimize supply chain costs. Experience managing project intake process using Jira. Experience with data mining to develop supply chain metrics including cost to serve, LTL and FT cost per lane, cost per mile, inventory holding cost, and inventory aging. Experience with data analysis for identifying trends, anomalies, and patterns for supply chain metric improvement. Experience identifying and fixing data issues in SQL backend data tables and deploying solutions to minimize future data errors. Experience developing complex data architecture, writing SQL queries, and maintaining version controls using GitHub repositories to manage data projects.
