The Marblehead YMCA is seeking a dedicated and proactive Administrative Manager to support our team. This role will blend direct service and back-office administrative support, ensuring that our directors have the resources they need while enhancing member experiences. The Administrative Manager will provide exceptional support in our solution suite, addressing member inquiries and problem-solving via email and phone for 15-20 hours each week. In addition, this position will assist directors with purchasing and purchase orders, support new hire paperwork and onboarding processes, and collaborate with leadership on various projects, data management, and administrative tasks. Effective communication with members and participants is essential to fostering a positive community atmosphere.

We are looking for candidates with strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and experience in administrative roles, preferably in a non-profit or community-focused environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with diverse teams and support frontline staff.

  • One year or more of related business or office management experience is preferred.


  • Understanding of basic accounting concepts and applications including cash reconciliation, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.


  • Excellent Computer Skills and experience with standard business software and office machines.


  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all segments of the community.


  • The schedule is Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm
