Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network and Microsoft Expert with extensive experience in both Microsoft cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate can work independently, has a passion for technology, is proactive, and will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of Palo Alto firewall solutions, switch configurations ensuring robust network security and optimal performance. In addition will have expert knowledge of Microsoft solutions, and a working knowledge of VMware, Linux, Docker, HPC, and storage arrays is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain Palo Alto firewall configurations and policies.
Monitor and analyze firewall performance and security logs to identify potential threats.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Palo Alto solutions with Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related issues promptly and effectively.
Provide technical guidance and support to other IT staff regarding firewall configurations and security best practices.
Stay updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, especially related to Palo Alto and Microsoft environments.
Develop and maintain documentation related to firewall configurations, policies, and procedures.
Seasoned knowledge of Microsoft Servers and Cloud configurations.
Qualifications:
5+ years of hands on work experience and/or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in network security, with knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud services (Azure) and on-premises environments (Windows Server, Active Directory).
Relevant certifications (e.g., Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
VMware, Docker, Linux, Storage Arrays, and HPC environment knowledge is highly desirable.
Proficiency in network protocols and security principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently, and collaboratively in a team environment.
