Join the Publix Technology Team as a Principal QA Engineer where you will be responsible leading efforts to test and support enterprise-level applications.  In this role, you will be responsible for quality assurance for a new vendor product. 

Responsibilities:


  • Lead team of QA analysts consisting of automation testers and manual testers

  • Create comprehensive test plans for new and existing systems with input from the scrum team and product owner.

  • Participate in requirements, design, and product backlog refinement meetings to establish test effort estimates.

  • Analyze project documentation, release notes, and other documentation to identify test scenarios and create test cases.

  • Work with scrum teams to create and validate acceptance criteria for product backlog items.

  • Build and execute test cases, test sets, and test scripts within Microsoft Azure DevOps.

  • Design, build, and execute automated tests using various test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium.

  • Coordinate cross team testing efforts.

  • Oversee test execution and results validation on projects.

  • Ensure all quality assurance and testing activities are conducted throughout the life cycle and that the results from these activities are verified and documented.

  • Perform testing and data validation utilizing SQL queries.

  • Mentor/train other quality assurance engineers on the team.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or other analytical discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience performing Quality Assurance software testing.

  • 5+ years’ experience designing, developing, and executing test cases for large enterprise solutions.

  • 4+ years’ experience with creating and executing complex SQL queries to support test activities.

  • 4+ years of experience using web-based development tracking tool for all testing related activities and reporting, such as Azure DevOps or JIRA

  • 4+ years of experience testing APIs using Swagger, Postman, and web-based front ends.

  • 4+ years of experience coding in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C#


  • 6+ years of experience leading team of QA engineers to plan, develop, and execute tests for large enterprise solutions.

  • 6+ years’ experience conducting software quality assurance for enterprise applications.

  • 5+ years’ experience in Scrum/Agile

  • 5+ years’ experience developing, testing, and executing automated test cases using an automated testing framework.

  • Experience with automation testing using Visual Studio, Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, C#, RestSharp, SpecFlow

  • Experience in developing and maintaining code-based automation test frameworks.

    • Platform, backend, and frontend process validations

    • REST/SOAP/JSON API validations.

    • Complex ETL, data, event, consumer, and processor validations.

    • Integrating test automation solutions using CI/CD pipelines.



  • Experience with performance testing for API, backend, and UI.

  • Advanced knowledge of Azure DevOps, Azure Test Plan, and CI/CD pipelines (YAML).

  • Expert level SQL query skills to write and execute queries to review/validate test results.

  • Continued education and certifications in testing and various technical disciplines.
