Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics/Administrative Technician with a strong technical background to join our team. The Logistics/Administrative Technician will be responsible for managing incoming order creation and outgoing order transactions and ensuring workflow is maintained with a sense of urgency. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a logistics and/or administrative role and will be comfortable working with complex technical data and software systems.
Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers and manage the shipping and receiving process.
Work closely with technical staff to understand inventory and logistics requirements, and ensure stock is available as required.
Manage all aspects of logistics, including transportation and inventory management.
Use software systems to manage and analyze backlog and produce reports as required.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Past experience in warehouse or similar environment is highly preferred.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Prior experience working in a warehouse, dock or distribution center preferred.
Ability to operate pallet jacks and other equipment as necessary.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs.
Working Conditions:
The Logistics-Administrative role will on occasion work in a dock/warehouse environment, which may include exposure to loud noises, dust, and other hazards. They may be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and may need to work overtime or on weekends as necessary to meet business needs. The position will require standing or walking for extended periods of time, as well as bending, stooping, and reaching to move products and materials.
