The Marketing Consultant for Rental & Used with Caterpillar oversees the administration of the Global Allied Vendor Program. This role involves direct interaction with both domestic and international vendors and dealers, requiring strong problem-solving abilities, issue adjudication, excellent communication skills, and effective program management. The ability to interface seamlessly with all levels of management is essential.
What You Will Do:
Collect and manage RFQ pricing, policy, and vendor contact information.
Support team meetings and resolve issues with vendors and dealers.
Onboard new vendors, including setting up as dealer suppliers and creating webpages.
Remove vendors from the system and update relevant contacts.
Train new vendor personnel on website usage and reporting sales.
Maintain and update the website and relevant files.
Resolve dealer issues with vendors.
Follow up with vendors to provide quarterly reporting.
Plan and execute the Allied Vendor Product Fair and Reception.
Support rental product training events, attend trade shows and vendor facilities as needed.

Interface regularly with OEM's who support the equipment rental industry and dealers / branches who are engaged in renting equipment to end users
Basic understanding of the equipment rental business model including the importance of sales and service training and marketing initiatives
Experience in planning off-site meetings and nationwide events is a plus

Caterpillar operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week of onsite, in office work.
