Work closely with the Sr. Director of Business Development to drive growth and assist with customer needs, solutions, and proposals for the Tallgrass natural gas gathering and processing business unit.
Minimum requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related discipline
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
A minimum of 7 years in the energy industry
Direct work experience in the energy industry including a comprehensive understanding of the interrelated gas/oil control, pipeline, compression, and processing operations, and gas/oil scheduling processes.
Must possess general understanding of how corporate policies, procedures and practices relate to Tallgrass Energy, associated business units and internal and external customers.
Ability to work in a fast-moving competitive environment that may include handling sensitive company and customer information.
Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Preference for position to be located in Lakewood, CO.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Evaluate potential capital projects utilizing producer/customer forecasts and project scopes and capital estimates.
Work with engineering and project management on design and scope development for pipeline and facilities, including preliminary cost estimating.
Consistently communicate and coordinate activities with Operations, Land, Project Management, EHS, and other Tallgrass cross functional teams.
Perform financial analysis using existing models to determine return on investment/discounted cash flow and rate determination.
Generate presentation materials for internal stakeholders and producers/customers including new project underwriting packages.
Shepherd new projects from origination through execution and into operations.
Monitor business issues and impact to bottom line, competitor and customer intelligence and implement solutions.
Routinely assess pipeline and compressor station capacity including building and maintaining models and reports.
Develop and implement system optimizations that improve business financials and strategy.
Shepherd contract and contract amendments from conception to execution by working with legal and other necessary internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain tools used for strategy and business development

Regularly communicate with management regarding project status, goals and objectives.
