Lead efforts to expand the company's footprint in Natural Gas markets by developing new relationships and leveraging existing relationships with producers, pipelines, end users like generators and utilities and other industry players. Drive business growth through unwavering pursuit of new business opportunities and the ability to structure and negotiate standard and complex natural gas transactions.Minimum requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 10 years direct work experience may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
7+ years of in-depth, hands-on experience in natural gas origination with a demonstrated history of successfully negotiating and managing complex gas supply and sale contracts across various U.S. markets.
Direct experience with energy futures, swaps, options and other industry hedging activities.
Fundamental knowledge of physical natural gas infrastructure and gas operations.
Deep understanding of natural gas market structures.
Ability and experience to negotiate common industry agreements: PPA's, AMA's, Tolling, Transportation & Storage contracts
Knowledge of various North America natural gas markets, including Rockies, Appalachia, Permian, Western and Midcontinent
Experience building a book of business.
Intermediate/Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Remote: Candidates will have the opportunity to work from Tallgrass current office locations (Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Leawood, KS; Denver, CO) will be given preference; remote will be considered for exceptional circumstances

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $205,700-$280,300/yr.Essential duties and responsibilities
Leverage existing and build new, high-impact relationships with natural gas producers, driving deals that enhance the company's supply portfolio and market presence.
Collaborate with natural gas counterparties to craft innovative gas supply and sale contracts, tailored transactions, & product structures.
Originate new strategic relationships with gas producers, gas consumers, gas marketers and large volume fuel users
Work with the natural gas trade desk to optimize economics around gas transportation and gas storage positions
Develop portfolios and analyze profit and loss and risk / reward
Adherence with procedures to capture, track & report gas transactions
Work with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism
Potential to manage direct reports performance and career development as well as bring leadership within the gas team. Create vision and set clear goals based on that vision. Guide and oversee day to day goals and initiatives, to build business and generate revenue. Align with company objectives and develop strategies to help his/her team meet them.
Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully
Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance
Will work non-traditional hours as needed and availability for frequent travel
