Reporting to the Annual Giving Manager, the Leadership Annual Gift Officer plays a key role in advancing the university's fundraising goals. Incumbent manages a portfolio of prospects capable of making leadership annual gifts of $1,000 or more, working closely with university partners, leaders and stakeholders to achieve ambitious fundraising objectives.
Job Summary:
Identifies, cultivates and solicits a portfolio of 200+ leadership giving prospects and donors by leveraging face-to-face and virtual meetings, phone calls, emails, alumni events and other contacts to build relationships and increase support.
Meets fundraising metrics, including donor retention and stewardship, defined by supervisor for management and growth of the President's Circle.
Collaborates with the major gifts team to coordinate strategies and share prospect referrals.
Serves as a host to university guests during donor events, ensuring a positive and impactful experience.
Participates in reminder calls during key campaigns, including the Day of Giving, calendar year-end and fiscal year-end.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
At least two years of successful experience in higher education fundraising, related development field or sales.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in growing revenue and participation in an annual giving program.

Strong aptitude for telemarketing, negotiating and closing gifts.
Ability to engage effectively with donors, volunteers, colleagues and philanthropic stakeholders.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to persuasively express the university's mission and collect and convey information with accuracy, diplomacy and tact.
Must be detail-oriented, able to take initiative, work independently, and successfully set priorities and manage work flow to fulfill objectives and meet goals.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Working knowledge of or ability to learn Raiser's Edge NXT software.
Travel/Overtime Requirements:
Requires travel to meet face-to-face with donors and occasional attendance at donor events.
