Parks Director
Position Summary:
Antrim County is now accepting applications for a Parks Director. Under the supervision of the County Administrator, this position directs and coordinates overall management and operation of the Parks
Department to include personnel, budget, financial, grant writing, and other administrative functions. Responsible for and participates in all aspects of facility maintenance activities supervising employees and performing other tasks to maintain the County, Barnes Park Campground and other Antrim County Parks, while providing service to the public.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience (A) Graduation from high school or GED equivalent (B) College degree preferred with an emphasis in parks or business (C) Any combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the work. (D) Working knowledge of budget planning and management. (E) Experience in writing and obtaining grants preferred. (F) Red Cross First Aid and CPR training preferred.
The starting salary of $55,702.40/year includes a step scale.
Position has a full benefits package including health, dental, short-term disability, life insurance and pension. This is a full-time, year-round position.
