Job Description:
As a Process Engineer, you will evaluate customer products and specifications to develop comprehensive manufacturing plans. Your role involves extensive design and manufacturing expertise, along with a deep understanding of equipment costs for evaluation purposes. Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in all aspects of processing, including process development, system layout, process verification, and product/process change impact.
Conducting cycle time analysis, ergonomic evaluations, and joining requirements (weld, SPR, TOX, etc.).
Overseeing staging, joining equipment selection and validation, spare parts management, documentation, and manuals.
Progress reporting, quoting, and estimating.
Interpreting automotive product drawings and manufacturing specifications.
Maintaining knowledge of PC-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Collaborating with Throughput Simulation Operators and Robot Simulation Operators to verify process viability.
Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations and identifying related concerns in both KUKA's and customers' facilities.
Adhering to the Quality System and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Performing other departmental functions as required.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Experience and Skills:
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematic drawings, and procedure manuals. Proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence, and creating lesson plans and outlines. Effective communication skills for speaking before groups of customers, students, or employees.
Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability: Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret extensive technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage several abstract and concrete variables.

Education:
Associate's degree from a two-year college or university or technical school; or one to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Qualifications:
2 or more years of processing experience (e.g., automated automotive manufacturing).
GM experience preferred.
Proficiency in using Process Designer software (Siemens product).
