Sev1Tech is seeking a talented Cloud Architect to lead and support the logistics (LOG) Information Technology (IT) portfolio (LOG IT).
Background: Program Executive Office (PEO) Manpower, Logistics, and Business Solutions (MLB) manages the logistics (LOG) Information Technology (IT) portfolio. This portfolio is composed of 300+ afloat and ashore IT systems/applications with 150,000+ users across all Naval Systems Commands (SYSCOMs) and Naval Operational Forces (NOF) to include ships, carriers, submarines, USN/USMC aviation squadrons, and Naval Expeditionary Forces. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is a joint user of LOG IT capabilities and is part of the program requirements. LOG IT enables essential business operations for various capability groups and modernizes the IT applications that support business operations.

Job duties would include, but are not limited to:
Managing and leading engineering and IT related processes for planning, execution and reporting to include: Cloud Architecture within the DoD, Site Reliability Engineering, Continuous monitoring in cloud and disparate environments.
Using infrastructure as code and configuration as code to implement cloud and also mentor teams to adopt this practice
Using DevSecOps principles to implement cloud architecture, Continuous Monitoring, SRE functions, etc.
Designing architectures and capabilities using systems engineering modeling and diagraming.
Collaborating with technical teams to streamline processes and optimizing the delivery of IT solutions and support services.
Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, serving as a trusted adviser and ensuring client satisfaction with our IT solutions and services.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and innovation within the IT solutions engineering capabilities.
Responsibilities
Candidates should meet the following requirements in order to be considered for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Computer Science, or Information Technology from an ABET accredited university or college program. An educational equivalency of four (4) years of experience in a comparable (i.e., performing the same or similar function) assignment on an enterprise business system may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Minimum of an active DoD Secret clearance.
Minimum of CompTIA Security+, CASP, or CISSP (in order to qualify for IAT2).
Five (5) years of experience in the implementation of DoD enterprise IT program(s), performing the Enterprise/Cloud Architect role. Minimum of one year of hands-on experience with AWS technology.
Demonstrated experience with implementation of Enterprise Business Systems including:
AWS GovCloud (experience at expert level)
Terraform, Ansible
CI/CD Tools including GitLab
DevSecOps principles
Log aggregation such as ELK or Splunk
Dashboard and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Kibana
