The Division of Abdominal Imaging in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track. The incumbent will join a faculty of 70 clinical radiologists who are involved in imaging at multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital (a primary, tertiary, and quaternary care County hospital) and from the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics. Job Functions:
Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings
Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows
Participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research
Provide clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations and perform some non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures
In addition to the rich clinical experience, faculty will participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conference
Supervise the performance of technical personnel
Be part of the on-call radiology schedule
Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of general radiology and abdominal imaging
Provide abdominal imaging consultation as requested
Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the division director or Chair
Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of musculoskeletal radiology
Participate in teaching activities related to general radiology as required in: Diagnostic Radiology and integrated Diagnostic Radiology/Interventional Radiology Residency programs, Abdominal Imaging Fellowship Program, Medical student education program, Radiologic technologist educational programs, Continuing Medical Education programs
Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Medical Degree
Diagnostic Radiology Residency
Body Imaging Fellowship
Certification and Licensing:
American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible
Florida Medical License or Eligible
Experience:
Completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Abdominal Radiology
Prior experience in a university faculty setting preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Provide clinical imaging services to interpret X-rays, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations, as well as performing non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures
