We're looking to add an Product Manager who will enjoy a small, casual, high-productivity environment in Carlsbad, CA. This is a hybrid role requiring three days/week in-office. Candidate should be familiar with the complete software life cycle from requirements building, stakeholder validation, product development, release management, documentation, training and acceptance.
What you'll do
Develop GLDS products and services by identifying potential products; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications; working within, and advocating for, production timetables, and building release plans for product introduction.
Gain a deep understanding of market and customer needs. In conjunction with GLDS Technical Support, Sales, and management, identify, design and develop new GLDS products, product features, and improvements for existing products.
Translate product/feature strategy into detailed requirements documents, including the creation of prototypes where appropriate.
Scope and prioritize product/feature timelines based on business and customer impact, balancing the needs with Engineering and Support resource availability.
Run beta programs with early-stage products and pre-production releases.
Together with GLDS Documentation, ensure every new product/feature is supported by an Implementation Guide, or official product Documentation, or both, where appropriate.
Lead product/feature release training efforts ensuring appropriate, and timely, handoff between Product Management and Technical Support.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending select industry trade shows and educational workshops.
What you'll have
At least 2 years of work experience in a product management role.
Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
Ability to develop product and market strategies, and to effectively communicate recommendations to executive management and stakeholders.
Solid technical background with hands-on experience with software development and web technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job.
Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred, or similar career equivalent experience.

What to expect
The interview process for successful candidates will be a phone interview followed by a virtual interview, with a final in-person interview in our Carlsbad, CA office. References will be requested. Compensation will depend on experience with the top end of the range reserved for someone with 100% of the qualifications.
