We are looking for a Director of Staff Development to join our team!
Requirements: Valid LVN License in good standing; DSD certificate collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, treating all residents with dignity and respect, communicating effectively with all staff, residents and family members.
Some of the duties include:
Develop and monitor the goals and objectives of the in-service trainings for the facility
Interviewing, hiring and orienting new employees
Creating and maintaining records and reports pertinent to in-service requirements
Partnering with Administrator and DON to meet daily staffing and PPD goals
Reviewing and creating daily staffing schedule
Attending meetings and serving on committee's as required
Ensuring that all staff attend and participate in in annual OSHA and CDC in-service training programs for hazard communication, TB management, and bloodborne pathogens standard
Responsible for providing direct patient care when not performing DSD duties
Representing the department at and participate in top level meetings
Implementing recommendations from the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee as they relate to the educational needs of the facility
Maintaining a positive and calm disposition when communicating with staff, residents, family, visitors, government entities, etc.
Following Infection and Control policies and procedures
Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
Protecting each resident's file and data with confidentially per HIPAA standards
Abiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwords
