Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking a UX/Interaction Designer who will unpack ambiguous problems, absorb insights about the business and its users, design, test, and help deliver usable, innovative, and compelling, digital products and features.
Responsibilities:
Design experiences and influence strategies for a variety of audiences, stakeholders, products, and features in the world of Intranet, GenAI, Marketing, and more
As a UX/Interaction Designer, you will apply your curiosity, asking the right questions and more to uncover key information.
Collaborate with product management, research, visual design, engineering, and stakeholders
Clearly articulate design choices and rationale, tailoring communications to your audiences
Zoom into the pixels and aesthetics while also keeping in mind broader strategy
Effectively work with design systems, knowing when to leverage existing patterns and when to push for new concepts
The UX/Interaction Designer will elevate the quality of the team, giving and soliciting constructive feedback and knowledge
Scope and prioritize work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience (senior level): shipping products and features that solve complex problems (with a proven portfolio of work); Interaction design and visual design, exhibiting a proficiency in user experience concepts, typography, layout, and responsive design
Demonstrable articulation of product strategy and vision and all the thinkings - design/strategic/system
Strong understanding and application of user-centered design methods and principles
Mastery of Figma (components, variants, prototyping, branching, etc.); Experience with other software is a plus
Proficiency in prototyping; motion design skills are a bonus
Well-versed in accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), designing for broad audiences
Experience working in scrum/agile and with developers
Experience working with user experience researchers and various methods of research and designing experiments
Top 3 skill sets:
Strategy: translating business and user goals into product and user experience direction
Execution: UX/UI/interaction design skills and operation of Figma (design systems, prototyping)
Soft skills: ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with team and stakeholders
Nice to have skills or certifications:
Data analysis (product analytics e.g., GA, Quantum Metric)
Motion design
UX writing
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
