ECS is seeking a Naval Warfare Program Acquisition Specialist to work in our Arlington, VA office Please Note: This position is contingent upon [additional funding].
Job Description:
This position provides direct support to the Principle Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) for an ACAT1 program office in the Navy and the Acquisition Manager. Requires an understanding of the US Navy Systems Acquisition and program management policies in addition to DON requirements processes including inter-agency and Joint Service program cooperation and solutions. Desire to have related experience with Naval Weapons Systems, ACAT I and Middle Tier Acquisition Programs. Must possess ability to support contracting, acquisition and program management of the development, life cycle support, integration and testing of Navy programs. Firm grasp of DoD/DON Procedures and policies (DoD 5000 processes), ACAT I program scheduling and associated requirements. Possess the ability to interface and manage requirements from external and internal customers. Need to be able to track and coordinate Request for Proposal (RFP) support and all acquisition milestones, to include but not limited to: gate reviews, document tailoring, preparation, review and tracking to Milestone decisions. Possesses ability to support document preparation with acquisition plans and strategies. Travel is desired for up to 25% of the time.
Required Skills:
Active Top-Secret Clearance.
BS/BA in Engineering, Business or equivalent experience.
3+ years of relevant experience in US Navy Acquisition/Program Management.
Solid Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point skills.
Teams proficiency.
Sharepoint or other digital visualization and collaboration environments.
