Job Description:

Schneider Electric is seeking an Security Service Intern in the Boston, MA area! As an Engineering System Intern, you will be part of our dynamic engineering team, gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting and enhancing the functionality of cameras and managing access controls. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to apply your technical skills in a real-world setting and contribute to the success of our engineering projects.

What will you do?


  • Troubleshoot and repair security systems

  • Implement hardware and software applications for assigned customers

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on installed systems

  • Install, commission, and check-out of new security systems

  • Coordinate activities of subcontractors, as needed

  • Complete documentation for assigned tasks

  • Provide on-site training to customers as needed


What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • Basic understanding of engineering principles, hardware components, and software systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and technical documentation tools.
