Job Description:
Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for the running the KP machines, while also adhering to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.
Set up V-Mag stuffer/grinder and KP machines.
Move empty racks into position for loading and loading logs onto racks.
Send out correct diameters of slicing logs to freezer.
Chang film as needed.
Identify and stripping out defective logs.
Drain water from bottom of KP and inspecting equipment.
Set up and breaking down grinders.
Record condition of grinder plates on grinder inspection sheets and turning in to lead/supervisor.
Inform QA and Production Supervisor in the event of issues with equipment/grinder or raw materials.
Informs and assists Maintenance persons in identifying and correcting problems with machines.
Performs PM's on equipment in assigned Department.
Requirements:
Basic Math Skills and ability to become certified in Lock Out tag Out Program.
Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
Must be willing and able to pinch/grip product and place into specified location.
Must have 3 months previous work experience with a single employer within the past 18 months.
Candidate must also have minimum of 6 months of maintenance or mechanical experience or equivalent training.
