SUMMARY:



This position will require providing electrical and technical support for the production effort. The Associate must have a strong working knowledge of plant mechanical and electrical systems, motors. Must be team oriented. The associate will need to be dependable, require little or no supervision and will be required to work overtime as needed.



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Troubleshoot and maintain programmable logic controllers.
  
  


• Work overtime as needed and or required on weekdays and weekends to ensure all plant equipment is repaired and maintained in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  
  


• Must have basic understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and welding skills.
  
  


• Must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of electrical and electronic equipment with minimum amount of supervision.
  
  


• Maintain and repair other associated equipment as directed.
  
  


• Be proficient in the use of basic hand tools and power tools.
  
  


• Perform any and all duties as required and instructed by Supervisors.
  
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Working knowledge of 120, 208, 240 and 480 VAC circuits.
  
  


• Working knowledge of DC voltages and circuits.
  
  


• Working knowledge of circuit breakers, line diagrams, schematics and blue prints.
  
  


• Proper use volt/ohm meter, megohmmeter, analog and digital meters.
  
  


• How to properly install 120 VAC male plugs, female cord caps, receptacles, light switches motors.
  
  


• Have working use and knowledge of basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers and channel locks.
  
  


• Ability to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours
  
  


• Working knowledge of computers and PLC's. Good troubleshooting skills, verbal and communication skills.
  
  


• Ability to follow instructions precisely, develop working relationship with production, maintenance and managers.
  
  


• Willingness to learn, accept responsibility and work with little or no supervision.
  
  

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma / GED required.
  
  


• Documented technical training preferred.
  
  


• Minimum 6 months cumulative industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.
  
  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  
  


• Must be able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
