The 96th Test Wing (96TW), headquartered at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), is host to a wide range of activities that support all services, multiple Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, Contractors, and Allied Nations. The 96TW, under the command of AFTC, is the T&E center for Air Force air-delivered weapons, navigation and guidance systems, Command and Control systems, and Air Force Special Operations Command systems. The Wing provides expert evaluation and validation of the performance of systems throughout the design, development, acquisition, and sustainment process to ensure the warfighter has technologically superior, reliable, maintainable, sustainable and safe systems. The 96th Test Wing performs DT&E across the complete system life cycle for a wide variety of customers including: Air Force Systems Program Offices, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), logistics and product centers; major commands; other DoD services and United States (US) Government agencies (Department of Transportation, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), etc.); foreign military sales; and private industry. This position is located at Eglin AFB, FL.

Essential Functions:

Follow a design concept and implement code to retrieve, transform, and display a variety of information using AngularJS on the front end, C# in ASP.NET pages, handlers, and Windows Services. Familiarity with SQL is important due to interaction with file, remote HTTP, and MS SQL databases.

Requirements

Education and Experience Qualification:


  • Requires Master's degree and 10 years of relevant/direct experience with C# development, JavaScript Development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Substitution of experience for education will be considered with government approval.
  • Some experience indicating knowledge of: JQuery or AngularJS, preferably both JSON
  • Ability to work alone
  • Ability to work very closely with other developers
  • Mindset that can adhere to good design principles
  • Desire to maintain awareness of industry norms and direction
  • Experience required in two of the following with demonstrated depth and breadth : HTML 5 Canvas and ASP.NET
  • Microsoft Team Foundation Server
  • Data transformation
  • User interface development including update functionality
  • AJAX calls using AngularJS services to update pages asynchronously
  • UI Router single page applications
  • XML manipulation using C# DOM Document
  • XML transformation using XSLT
  • Must have an understanding of the specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.
  • Must have broad knowledge of test facilities, instrumentation and test environments that support 96 TW, OSD and DOD missions.
  • Knowledge of DoD systems and acquisition program management concepts; AF Test and Evaluation philosophy, principles and practices; USAF budget process/financial management; and the operation and maintenance of R&D test resources.
  • Must have ability to quickly understand the customers overall technical objectives and mission a provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.
  • Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 96TW as well as high standards of quality and excellence in
  • performing the duties.
  • Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 5%.
  • US Citizenship required.
Security Clearance
  • Must hold an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
