Our client is a nationally recognized General Contractor with a strong presence in the commercial construction industry. They deliver premium construction services across a diverse range of projects. They specialize in base building, commercial services, renovation, which include Commercial Office, Healthcare, Light Industrial, Hospitality & Mission Critical. As they expand their team in Texas, an excellent opportunity has opened up for a Commercial Project Manager to join the team in Austin.



Your new role



  • Project Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.


  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.


  • Healthcare Expertise: Understanding the unique requirements of healthcare facilities, compliance regulations, and patient safety protocols.


  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with clients, hospital administrators, and regulatory bodies.


  • Budget Oversight: Monitor project finances, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions.


  • Quality Assurance: Review construction drawings, specifications, and change orders to maintain project quality.


  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project delivery.


  • Construction Administration: Oversee construction progress, resolve issues, and manage subcontractor relationships.


  • Collaboration: Work closely with design teams, contractors, and facility staff to achieve project goals.


  • Reporting: Provide regular project updates for senior management and stakeholders.




What you'll need to succeed

  • 8+ years of experience in Commercial Construction either on the general contracting side or working directly for a consultancy firm and/or end user/client.

  • High preference for Project Managers to have healthcare or related construction project experience.

  • A bachelor's degree is not essential but highly desired. Ideal degrees include Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering disciplines.
