Your new company



Join a 200-person multi-disciplinary Engineering Firm near 30-years old, as a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer. This role will be hybrid, 3x in / 2 WFH, based Manhattan NYC. Base salary circa $95k to $115k dependent on skills & experience. They predominantly support Public Sector projects spanning Transportation Infrastructure, as well as some ad-hoc Private sector work spanning Lab, Healthcare, Commercial, etc.



Your new role



As a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer you will work closely with Architects, Owners & Contractors designing complex Plumbing & Fire Protection systems and overseeing their successful construction. The majority of their projects are performed in Revit, with some smaller projects completed in CAD. You will work in a highly autonomous role, while ensuring you follow internal operational excellence guidelines & design practices. You will perform a blend of hands-on design & project management related duties. There is also some QA/QC/Peer review work involved as they often have sub-contractors they oversee that perform design work on the contracts they are Prime on.



What you'll need to succeed



Your experience working long-term within MEP Engineering Firms as a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer will be key to your success in this role. Experience supporting new building design, responsibility for equipment sizing & selection, as well as adhering to NFPA guidelines is also a must to be considered. A PE License is advantageous but not mandatory to be considered for this role.
