Overview

  • Leadership and Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-year enrollment management plan that supports SPH’s strategic goals.
    • Lead efforts to grow student enrollment with a focus on enrolling students from communities most impacted by health inequity.
    • Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Operations (or Executive Vice Dean) establish and communicate an ambitious vision for enrollment management that aligns with the school’s overall mission and objectives.
  • Recruitment and Admissions:
    • Support the development and implementation recruitment strategies and processes that attract a diverse student body and that are responsive to prospective student need.
    • Utilize data-driven approaches to identify target markets, optimize recruitment efforts, and forecast enrollment trends.
    • Collaborate with academic affairs to ensure that recruitment strategies align with program strengths and market demands.
    • Innovate and implement admissions practices that are efficient, equitable, and transparent, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for prospective students.
    • Work with academic affairs leaders and appropriate faculty to develop and implement an accelerated MPH program with emphasis on early commitment and continuation planning.
  • Institutional Communication and Marketing:
    • Coordinate the development and implementation of a marketing and communication strategy that effectively promotes SPH’s unique value proposition to prospective students, partners, and the broader community.
    • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, digital content, and outreach campaigns that enhance the school’s visibility and reputation.
    • Ensure that all communication efforts align with the school’s brand and strategic priorities and resonate with diverse audiences.
    • Leverage data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of communication and marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Utilize quantitative analysis to inform strategic decisions related to enrollment and marketing.
    • Develop and maintain robust systems for tracking and analyzing enrollment data.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to the school’s leadership team, highlighting opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Building:
    • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, alumni, community partners, and prospective students.
    • Work collaboratively with academic affairs, student success, and external partners to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to enrollment management.
    • Promote a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement within the enrollment management team.
  • Entrepreneurism and Flexibility:
    • Encourage a culture of entrepreneurship where innovative ideas and flexible approaches to problem-solving are valued and supported.
    • Stay informed about trends in higher education and public health, adapting strategies to meet the evolving needs of students and the profession.
    • Experiment with and adopt new technologies and methods to enhance recruitment, admissions, and student engagement efforts.


Responsibilities

  • Bachelors degree in higher education administration
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in higher education administration, enrollment management, admissions, or student services in higher education, preferably in a health sciences or public health setting.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing enrollment strategies that result in increased student recruitment, retention, and program completion rates.
  • Experience with data analysis and using data to inform decision-making related to recruitment, admissions, and retention strategies.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in enrollment practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of enrollment professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in enrollment management software and CRM systems, as well as familiarity with student information systems (e.g., Slate, Banner).
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop long-term enrollment plans aligned with the school’s mission and goals.
  • Knowledge of trends and best practices in enrollment management, student recruitment, and retention, particularly within graduate and professional programs.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail.
  • A commitment to student success and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments and evolving institutional needs.



Qualifications



  • Masters degree in higher education administration, public health, business administration, marketing or a related field (Doctoral degree preferred).
  • Experience with financial aid policies, scholarship programs, and optimizing the use of these resources to support enrollment goals.

  • Extensive knowledge of public health education, and/or public health practice.
