The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Temporary Accounting Specialist to join our team of professionals.
Duties:
Assists with generating and compiling data by running PantherSoft Queries and financial reports.Performs office functions including copying, scanning, and maintaining logs.Assist with data entry and processing of accounting transactions that may include invoices, deposits, payroll transfers, and vouchers.Assists in generating personnel analysis including running of queries and updating reports.Assists in collecting data for credit card transactions and compiling data for reconciliations. Assists in documenting deposits received and turning in of deposits received. Assist the Finance team with various budget preparations. Prepares and organizes budget packages, meetings, and various analysis. Assists the Finance team with the printing and preparation of monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and reports.Performs related duties as required or assigned by supervisor.

Desired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of accounting/bookkeeping
Some prior experience in performing account reconciliation's and preparing journal entries. Position is required to analyze various types of accounts using basic accounting concepts and propose entries to clear reconciling items preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet monthly deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of accounting/bookkeeping experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
