Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our growing Global Marketing Excellence team at Omnipod®. This individual enjoys working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced organization focused on transforming the diabetes healthcare space. Candidates must be highly motivated, strategic, open-minded, and solution oriented. They should have the ability to balance multiple project priorities across various teams and time zones, while not being afraid to have fun along the way.

The Director of Digital Strategy role is global in scope. This person will lead our global digital marketing initiatives and drive our online presence (Omnipod.com) to new heights in partnership with multiple teams across the enterprise. This role is pivotal in shaping our digital roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals, and fostering innovation across all digital channels. They will come with a blend of strategic, technical and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and enhance Insulet's global digital marketing presence and drive business growth. Working with various internal teams across the organization and external agencies, they will help guide the digital customer experience and ensure the holistic performance of Omnipod.com from a content strategy, brand equity and optimization standpoint. This person will be the key thought leader in our digital efforts around the globe and help ensure our efforts are effective, efficient and cutting edge.

Responsibilities



  • Strategy Development and Implementation

    • Lead the holistic digital presence of Omnipod.com, including global web content architecture, brand expression, website best practices and standards. Partner with User Experience team, GME Brand and Creative team, Franchise and Downstream marketing and technical leaders across the organization.

    • Ensure the overall global digital strategy is robust and that there is consistency with branding and messaging through all digital touch points. Inclusive of email marketing.

    • Consult and develop end to end website and funnel experience strategies and work with Digital Operations and User Experience to execute conversion rate optimization testing

    • Ensure the global digital marketing funnels are optimized to drive new customer sign-ups, educate our community, and inspire loyalty and retention

    • Align digital strategies with overall business goals

    • Create a global view and alignment of agencies across digital strategy, paid media, SEO, organic social and creative

    • Focus on improving customer journey and Omnipod experience across all digital touchpoints




  • Website Content Standards and Management

    • Guide overall content strategy with partners, helping to drive web content work at the early stage of creation to ensure cohesiveness across the site

    • Ensure content is aligned with SEO best practices and user needs

    • Work with GME Brand & Creative and User Experience team on the digital representation of the brand, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand guidelines across all platforms

    • Consult with franchises and downstream marketing to distill requests and requirements for digital channels and platforms and develop action plans to address; Align requests globally into one workstream to ensure prioritization and delivery




  • Digital Performance

    • Collaborate with Digital Marketing and Commercial Analytics to use data and insights to drive end to end digital performance from a global perspective

    • Drive global best practices and dashboards for a consolidated view of digital data

    • Work with agencies to streamline and centralize reporting

    • Collaborate with Senior Digital Operations Manager, Franchises, Commercial and User Experience teams to develop conversion rate optimization and live site testing




  • Collaboration and Leadership

    • Drive thought leadership, strategy and execution for existing global digital marketing channels to enhance performance, efficiency and internal collaboration.

    • Lead relationship with digital marketing agencies to ensure that we are setting them up for success and leveraging their value to the full extent

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, E2E, User Experience

    • Lead and mentor a team of digital professionals




  • Innovation and Trends

    • Unlock Insulet's digital potential by enhancing our existing capabilities and exploring new channels/tactics.

    • Strike a balance between fostering innovation and maintaining stable, reliable digital experiences

    • Conduct thorough and continuous market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats in the digital landscape

    • Keep abreast of the latest digital trends and technologies

  • Known for strong strategic thinking skills

  • Comfort with analytics and performance marketing

  • Understanding of web technologies, CMS and CRM platforms and best practices

  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, email marketing and social media marketing

  • Experience with user testing

  • Strategic thinking capabilities with a forward-looking perspective

  • Ability to connect to the patient/caregiver experience

  • Project planning and management

  • Extremely thorough and organized

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 10-15 years of digital strategy experience a must; industry and multinational experience a plus

  • Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required

Additional Information


  • The position can be remote, hybrid or in-person but ideally located on the East Coast

  • Travel is estimated at 30-40% but will flex depending on business needs; international travel is required

  • Flexibility to take morning and evening calls to align with international business hours as needed

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,900.00 - $258,300.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
