The Pre-K Assistant Director will assist the Director in the overall management and supervision of the Pre-K program. The Assistant Director will be responsible for ensuring that the program meets all state and local regulations, as well as maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for the children.
Key Responsibilities
• Having a love of children and a strong commitment to educating the whole child.
• Assist the Director in the overall management and supervision of the Pre-K program
• Ensure that the program meets all state and local regulations
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for the children
• Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum and activities
• Supervise and evaluate staff members
• Communicate with parents and families regarding their child's progress
• Assist in the recruitment and hiring of staff members
• Attend meetings and trainings as required
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a Pre-K program
• Knowledge of state and local regulations for Pre-K programs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff members and families
• NYS UPK teaching certification
