The Product Specialist will support Product/Offering Managers and the Sr. Director for Liquid Offerings, this role will also include a global scope. The Product Specialist will work across the organization with key customers, sales teams, regional stake holders, and work with cross functional teams to execute on roadmaps through the New Product Development Stage Gate process. This role will focus on executing later stage gates in the Product Development Process such as the launch phases and maintaining existing offerings.
Responsibilities:
Engineering collaboration within NPDI, Sustaining and Engineering-to-Order ETO). Provide offering information to Sales, Service, and Application Engineering.
Work with teams to assist in developing sales enablement tools for products (GRS, LRS, CPQ/C1, etc.)
Document competitive market to understand trends, demand drivers, customer needs, competitive landscape; attend tradeshows to gain industry understanding.
Work with Regional Product/Offering Managers, Marketing, Engineering, and IT teams for new product introductions. (Configuration Tools, Marketing literature, Tech Submittals, etc.)
Ensure all customer-facing offering documentation and marketing collateral is available and accurate. (Sales Portal, vertiv.com, sales attached, etc.).
Provide technical knowledge and expertise to support the Sales and Application Engineering teams.
Assist in resolution of offering issues in regard to delivery, ordering, service.
Assist as an escalation point for complex customer opportunities as it relates to Ordering.
Identify and communicate to Offering manager product improvement projects that deliver cost savings, improved efficiency and/or quality.
Communicate any VOC given from stakeholders to Offering Manager and log into VUE VOC database.
Provide technical content/support to other business units. (Solutions, Service, Power, etc.)
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Interest in Liquid Cooling for the data center (preferred)
Time and priority management skills and a drive to see projects to completion.
Detail oriented to provide accurate specifications and launch materials.
Effectively communicates technical information and complex ideas.
Experience working with customers and field sales teams preferred.
Strong written/oral communication, especially in communicating customer needs.
General interest of sales, marketing, operations, and financial disciplines preferred.
