CobbFendley is seeking an experienced SUE Project Manager in our Sandy, Utah office.
Essential Functions:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or an applicable field from an Accredited University.
Professional Engineer License (preferred, not required).
Minimum of eight (8 Years) years’ experience.
Relative experience in Land Surveying, SUE, Utility Design or Coordination.
Experience with the data collection and analysis of sub-surface utility markings
Experience reading & collecting utility information from utility owners and coordinating with 811 call centers for data requests.
Experience with processing surveyed/mapped utility data.
Experience working with plan and profile construction drawings associated with roadway and underground utility improvements within public rights-of-way, records research and permitting.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other relevant engineering and administrative software.
Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of field and disciplines.
Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities.
Work with minimal supervision and perform self QA/QC of work.
Adhere to CobbFendley’s safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment.

Job site observations factors could include: walking and climbing on uneven surfaces, exposure to outdoor environments and extreme weather (heat and freezing temperatures), noise exposure, driving for extended periods of time, exposure to allergens (e.g., pollen, dust, cedar, sumac, poison ivy), exposure to construction and traffic work zones, possible hand and power tool use, and extended periods of Personal Protective Equipment use.

Driving and Vehicle Use. May involve driving large pick-up trucks with attached trailers, potentially operating watercraft, and for extended periods of time.
Noise and Allergens. Potential exposure to high noise levels and various allergens, including poison ivy, sumac, dust, pollen, and cedar.
Wildlife Hazards. Potential exposure to wildlife hazards such as animals, insects, and plants.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST.
This position may include the need for overtime hours throughout the year.
