Your Role:
The Regional/Business Group Marketing Manager will lead marketing activities to support the region/business group’s growth via new business contracted (NBC). This includes strategic planning with local leadership; collaboration with business development team members; market research; pursuit identification, planning, and debriefs; and leading other initiatives to market LAN’s brand in the respective region/business group. The Marketing Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
The Marketing Manager is the expert on all projects, resumes, capabilities, and expertise for that specific region/business group. This requires a proactive understanding of LAN as an engineering firm and the region’s/business group’s service offerings and goals. The Marketing Manager must foster strong relationships with business development leads, business group leaders, engineers, management staff, and other marketing team members to strategically connect tactical marketing elements to the firm’s larger initiative goals.
Scope of role:
Serves as primary point-of-contact for all marketing needs for region/business group
Identifies key pursuits for the region/business group and leads pre-positioning and pursuit planning efforts
Leads marketing and communications priorities across digital marketing channels, public relations support, thought leadership, conferences/events, and field marketing efforts
Manages branding for region/business group and balances the messaging priorities of new business, major initiatives, firm culture, and talent opportunities.
Directly supports business development efforts and initiatives and serves as a conduit with the Marketing Department to meet strategic needs
Mentor junior marketing staff with proposals and other general marketing support
Responsibilities
Proactively collaborates with business development and leadership to identify key pursuits
Leads win plan meetings, social media campaigns, and other activities in preparation of key pursuits
Oversees the development of responses to RFQs for the region/business group. This includes high-level management of Go/No Go meetings; kickoff meetings; draft reviews for quality, messaging, value propositions, and differentiators; and proposal closeout.
Develops responses to RFQ/Ps including creative services, copy, data, SME interviews, sub-consultant materials, and more if applicable to the response
Schedules and participates in internal and client-facing pursuit debriefs
Leads short-list interview preparation, including the development of PowerPoint presentations, visual aids, leave-behind materials, coaching, etc.
Coordinates directly with the Marketing Programs team to develop, manage, and implement promotional campaigns and awareness initiatives including social media, press releases, industry events, award submittals, magazine rankings, and other opportunities to promote the region/business group
Provides additional, as-needed marketing support for the region’s/business group’s strategic goals
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field preferred
Seven to ten+ years of marketing experience in A/E/C industry
Proficiency in use and application of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office and CRM program (Deltek preferred).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong composition and editing skills. Ability to write compelling, informative, and persuasive prose for proposal evaluators.
