DEPARTMENT OF KINESIOLOGY & INTEGRATIVE PHYSIOLOGY, HANOVER COLLEGE, seeks applicants for two positions of Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Exercise Science with the appointment starting in Fall 2025. Teaching duties include several general courses in Exercise Science (examples include Exercise Physiology, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Biomechanics, Principles of Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition, Research Methods, etc) with associated laboratory sessions and the ability to teach up to two specialized courses in the candidate's area of interest (for example Sports Nutrition, Biomechanics, Strength and Conditioning, Public Health, Athletic Training, etc). Additional duties include advising majors, engaging in scholarly activities, participating in college committees, and maintaining our well-appointed lab facilities and resources.Required qualifications include a doctorate degree (ABD considered with degree completion by August 2025) in an appropriate field plus relevant experience teaching Exercise Science coursework and laboratory activities.
The Kinesiology and Integrative Physiology department is composed of two majors (KIP and Health andMovement Studies), serves approximately 90 students, and is taught by four tenure-track faculty members. Our major is popular among students pursuing careers in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Strength and Conditioning, Coaching, and Wellness. Our well-appointed laboratory facilitiesinclude the human anatomy lab, a state-of-the-art Laerdal human patient simulator, environmental chamber, ParvoMedics metabolic carts, Cybex Norm isokinetic machine, Bod Pod, force plate, and aStages smart bike.
